Objectives
Establishment of a stable, permanent dependable supply point for safe potable water with surface water as resource and to make it available to the people living in southern part of Kolkata, Garden Reach, Behala and Budge Budge. The production capacity will be 60 million gallons of water per day.

Benefits accrued
People living in Garden Reach, Behala (South Surbarban Area) and Budge Budge including industrial establishments are getting water on a regular basis. About 10 lakh people are being benefited at the present stage of operation of the Project.
